| Salt Point, and the surrounding coastal countryside, is famous around the world for its natural resources, endless activities and extraordinary beauty. This strip of the Pacific Ocean offers some of the finest abalone diving anywhere and is a favorite spot for ocean fishing including salmon, red snapper, ling cod, crab, and many others. The areas' rivers (such as the Russian River to the south and the Gualala River to the north) are also well known for the early springtime steelhead trout run, which is challenging to the most seasoned of anglers. | Our beaches offer hours of relaxation or tide pooling and exploring and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of the passing California Grey Whales or the Sea Lions splashing offshore. With miles of hiking trails, you can explore for hours, or grab your mountain bike for a real workout.
